NEW RECRUITMENT PROGRAM FOR FALL 2023 ***** BOOK TODAY!*****

The Soul of Sorority:

A brand new, high energy, interactive training program for your communities focused on the power of personal story-telling.

soul (n): emotional or intellectual energy or intensity

Participants will learn to recruit using their own emotional and intellectual energy, making recruitment conversations and connections more deeply authentic.

As a result of their participation in The Soul of Sorority Workshop, sorority women will be able to:

  • Examine values-based recruitment and the role of environments to make positive changes to their recruitment strategies

  • Understand and demonstrate empowerment as individuals and chapters

  • Redefine confidence and work within chapters to harness the positive experiences of individual and group confidence

  • Collectively define and embrace efficacy as a shared goal throughout the recruitment period

  • Identify advanced, personal notions of sisterhood, and practice sharing them with confidence in preparation for recruitment

  • Learn the value of feedback, and practice giving and receiving it as it relates to advanced notions of sisterhood

  • Describe how personal stories contribute to the chapter's efficacy, confidence, and successful recruitment

***Outcomes will be based on the format of the program/workshop for your campus or chapter***

Beyond our BOUNDARIES

Dating back to the founding of sororities, women wanted to create something new where they could feel at home and enjoy their experiences with other women. A similar need was established during war time when women needed to work far beyond what anyone believed possible at that time while men were at war. Similarly today we examine a variety of methods based on the need to recruit women into our sororities in order to maintain our sustainability into the future. This session discusses the mastery experience, role modeling, positive reinforcement and psychological/physiological affect of potential new members and collegians on recruitment efforts and how to best create an environment where women will continue to want to be a part of our values based organizations.

Participants will be able to:

  • Identify difference between efficacy and confidence

  • Create an elevator speech on their experience

  • Develop and measure appropriate role model/mentor guidelines

  • Execute positive reinforcement methods within chapter

  • Recognize potential negative psychological/physiological signs

Perspective Consultation

Looking for new ways to grow your chapter and have your members become more self-assured? Allow us to work with your chapter to recognize and develop the stages of self-efficacy to approach the best recruitment strategy. Attract and retain members by aspiring to be your best selves throughout the formal or informal recruitment process. Our partnership will enable us to get to know your membership, educate them of the steps to believe they can achieve your recruitment priorities, and help prove that prepared, well-rounded members will only enhance and grow your chapter for the future.

Participants will be able to:

  • Identify the difference between efficacy and confidence

  • Critique current chapter recruitment practices

  • Construct updated recruitment objectives for chapter

  • Develop methods for adaptive strategies to enhance chapter growth

unique Priority Assessment

We so often create goals for our organizations that become unreachable over time due to other commitments that occur throughout the academic year. This session assesses the current state of the chapter, where the chapter wants to go, and the best method to get there. By using the 80/20 Principle, leaders and/or members are able to critically evaluate the true state of their chapter and how to work smarter, not harder to attain the top priorities established.

Participants will be able to:

  • Define the 80/20 Principle and how to implement it

  • Analyze the current chapter standing

  • Determine appropriate priorities for the chapter

  • Formulate action steps to meet priorities

  • Recognize successes

Creating a DEI Perspective in Recruitment

As sorority women and fraternity men we have the responsibility to create spaces to openly and honestly discuss our DEI initiatives as we continue to recruit new members to our organizations. These discussions will continue to be highly relevant moving forward. This session will start the conversation on how we can begin to accomplish this. Let’s organize the way we recruit in a manner that showcases the beauty of difference in our membership and all that we have to offer.

Participants will be able to:

  • Review current DEI practices during recruitment

  • Express the importance of difference within the chapter experience

  • Establish a plan to include DEI initiatives throughout recruitment selection

  • Assess selection processes routinely

All sessions are available in person or virtual based on your current needs/procedures in effect. Our Zoom account can be used for chapters up to 100 members or we can create a Google Hangout. Virtual sessions may assist in bringing down overall cost of facilitated programs and speakers.

Amanda brings a broad scope of national, institutional, and student development knowledge while advising women in a way that is educational and compassionate. She looks for each interaction to be a learning experience and is concerned that the member in question understands the situation and understands the reasons for any consequences.
